Forgetting names 

The narrator, Esperanza, is describing Louie’s cousin. She says her name “is Marin, or Maris or something like that…”. I love this line because of how informal it is and how true it is. Often times , when I meet somebody new, I either forget their name instantly or get their name wrong. Unlike most books , which would be straightforward and state her correct name , Esperanza says exactly what is on her mind , not caring about her ignorance .
