Letting go

I went into my backyard a few days ago to recycle a bottle, and I looked at the wall and found this dying flower hanging from a thin spider web.I probably stared at it for a solid 5 minutes, then began taking pictures.

The breeze began picking up, and the flower was still dangling back and forth, barely holding on. I began to question how the thin spider web was capable of holding onto the flower. The flower was already dead, yet it still hung on. I wonder if the flower would have kept holding on if it was given a choice. How will the flower know when it’s time to let go?
